I joined East Cowes WI eight years ago on our arrival to live on the Island - I was a Committee Member and Minute Secretary for a year, before I joined Whippingham WI where I have been for the last three years and I am MInute Secretary and Committee Member.

I was born just outside Carlisle in 1946, I lived with my parents in Aden when I was four. Had a full working life as  a PA to several MDs of large Companies in various parts of the UK.  I married ex Royal Marine Commando and we lived in North Africa for two years before returning to UK where we lived for 30 years in Buckinghamshire and were both senior members of a large District Council.  We retired to Suffolk for four years, before moving down to the Island.
